numero uno.

I wouldn't consider myself a natural writer, so I apologize if this seems a little stilted to begin with. I am writing in the hope that my skills will improve enough to produce something useable in my work.

As I intend to incorporate text into my new project, I have decided it is about time I found somewhere to voice my thoughts, if not for anyone else to read them, then at least so I can go back and maybe find something useful in them.

I often think that unless a person possesses a natural ability for writing, it is difficult not to come across as a little pretentious sounding and perhaps a little false? Hopefully this will help me find out if I do in fact possess any writing talent or whether I am indeed just pretentiously rambling...

Given that I am more visual than I am verbal, I imagine this blog will contain possibly more images than text, so I will include a few here. They were taken in Holland, on several cameras I bought there for a few euros each.

I often find that too much of my time is spent worrying about whether my work has enough meaning or what I am going to say to people when they ask what it is about. This work has little to no meaning. I suppose I could say it is just documenting my life but to me that sounds too cheesy in a way, although it is sort of true.

They really are just photos I took because the subject interests me. I find these are my best photos, the ones without meaning and the ones I take because something just looks good.

I think that is a good enough reason to take them.
